C Whether you are young or young at heart, it is never too late to change, or take in some new and better practices into your daily life. Here are some wise lessons that I wish I knew when I was younger. I used to be worried about what others thought of me. Finally, I changed. Remember that if you’re wasting too much time looking for respect(尊重) from others, then you will not have time to finish all you desire(期望). Everyone has an opinion, but in fact others’ opinions about you are based more on their history and perceptions(观 小学+初中+高中+努力=大学
念) than anything you’re actually doing. So depend on your own assessment(评估) of you rather than others’.
Enjoy every moment of today. Don’t wait to do or enjoy anything. Don’t tell yourself you will do it tomorrow. If it is important to you, then do it today. Pay attention to what is happening now, the task at hand and all the choices you make today, big and small. Our future is set by what we decide and do today.
What happened yesterday is over. You can not change it. So let it go. Don’t waste your energy considering anger or unhappiness. It only stops you from moving forward in life.
Look for the good in people. Celebrate the happy moments, big and small. Search for the chances for growth. Give helpful encouragement rather than unwanted criticism (批评). Be helpful whenever possible.
In a word, life is serious but you can still be delighted and hopeful. Otherwise, what’s the point? 28. We shouldn’t worry too much about what others think of us because ________.

Whom is the text most probably written by? A. A clever child. B. A middle school student. C. An expert on human relationships. D. An old man with rich experience of life.
D More women are graduating from colleges than men. The situation is causing some people to worry about the future. The trend could cause social problems，according to a report on July 8 by the Washington Post. Women received about 57 percent of the bachelor’s degrees awarded this year from colleges and universities in the United States. The figure of 57 percent has been the highest since World War Ⅱ ende d in 1945. During the war，many men were in the military. The gap between men and women is greater among African Americans and Hispanics. Two African American women receive a degree for every African American man. Only 40 percent of Hispanics who get a degree are males. The USA Department of Education estimates 698,000 females received bachelor’s degree this year. The number of male graduates was 529,000.The trend toward more female graduates began in the mid?1980s. Nobody seems to know why. However，many theories exist. Researchers say the trend could lead to social problems. They also say this may indicate two things. It may reflect the increasing success of women. But it also may show the educational problems affecting men. High school graduation rates are slightly lower for men than for women. Males also make up the vast majority of students in special education classes. The Business Roundtable is studying the trend. The group is an organization of chief executives of some of the nation’s largest corporations. Susan Traiman is the director of the group’s education policy. Traiman said the nation couldn’t afford to let half its population fail to develop skills needed for the future. 31．Some people worry about the future because ________. A．the nation should prevent the women from receiving further education
B．the nation would be too poor to develop its education

范文 Recently we have had a heated discussion on whether people should keep pets at
home in cities. Some students think it’s a good idea to keep pets because old people who live alone at home can get some comfort from pets. Besides, getting along well with animals will make our life interesting. On the contrary, the other students are against the idea. In their opinion, if too many people keep pets at home, it is bad for the environment. What is worse, pets may make too much noise and even attack people.
I like animals, so I don’t think it is bad to keep pets at home. But we must take some measures to prevent them from polluting our environment or causing other troubles.
